Dr. Tammy Watkins and Dr. Nicole Shabino of Birthwell specialize in prenatal and newborn chiropractic and are known for their commitment to and excellence in providing the most effective and gentle care. This unique care: helps keep women comfortable, encourages optimal pelvic positioning, dispels some of the fear related to childbirth, and helps newborns develop optimal latch and milk transfer for feeding.
Dr. Jen is a board certified pediatric dentist and mother of five breastfed children. Since graduation from her residency program in 2005, she has taken a special interest in helping families with nursing issues related to tongue and lip ties. She has attended specialized conferences and listened to both national and international experts discuss the procedures. She works closely with area physicians and lactation consultants. Broadlawns Midwifery Services provide expert, personalized care and emotional support during a pregnancy and delivery. Three certified nurse-midwives, Jessica Bottenfield-Biehn, ARNP, CNM, Rebecca Schleuger-Valadao, ARNP, CNM, and Kari Ward, DNP, ARNP, CNM, provide care at two clinic locations: Broadlawns Women’s Health Clinic and Broadlawns East University Clinic. Broadlawns Midwifery Services provide a full spectrum of women’s health care including: pregnancy, birth and postpartum care, breastfeeding support and education, well women exams, annual exams, pap smears, STI checks, family planning and birth control.
