Basking Babies is now bringing over 70 years of collective experience in baby care and breastfeeding services to Northern Iowa and surrounding areas. Consultations are in the offices in Iowa Falls or in Hampton, IA.
Sara Macy RN, IBCLC, long time resident and breastfeeding advocate in the Iowa Falls area, will be working as an associate with Basking Babies/Angela. The goal is that together they will be seeing all moms who desire lactation care.

Lactation Consultations
Prenatal Lactation Consultations
A consultation before baby arrives will address your breastfeeding concerns and together you and Sara or Angela will design a best practice plan for your breastfeeding journey. This plan is individualized based on your history, anatomy and goals for breastfeeding.
Postnatal Lactation consultations
Sara or Angela will assess your baby's oral anatomy, your breast anatomy, observe your baby's latch and feeding. She will assist with latch, positioning, holds, and together you will design a plan for going forward. Sara or Angela will follow up after the consultation by phone.

Skip Baby Puree via Zoom - Marieta Boberg, Registered Dietitian and IBCLC will be sharing the process of baby led weaning and when your baby is ready to start self-feeding. We will discuss why your baby doesn't need to start with pureed foods and what you can offer instead. Learn what nutrients are essential for your little one and what foods will meet your baby's growing needs.
BOOB Camp via Zoom - We're Angela Swieter and Katie Nyberg, two highly experienced postnatal professionals, who have combined our expertise to create a class that focuses on all things related to new moms, their partners, babies, breastfeeding and families. We'll address the questions and concerns we hear from so many families who don't feel prepared for those first few hours, days, and weeks after their baby's birth.
The Pumping Class via Zoom - A great class for moms heading to work or any mom who wants to learn more tips and tricks for pumping. This class covers pumps, handling and storing breastmilk, bottle introduction, talking to your employer and maintaining supply.
